Nothing brings out the natural curiosity of a child the way animals do! With Critter Classes your child will have the opportunity to learn about wildlife, up-close and hands-on. Each class focuses on a different animal group. Games, crafts, and age-appropriate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities will engage and entertain, letting learning happen naturally. Each session includes a live animal encounter. Supervised outings to zoo exhibits may be included, weather permitting. This program is for ages 5 to 7 years old.
Each month features a different animal group. A morning class and an afternoon class are offered each month. Please select only one class per month/topic.

Developed specifically with early childhood learning foundations in mind, this hour long class gives little learners a chance to explore nature and animals in a safe, nurturing environment. Get to know nature through play experiences, art, songs and stories, early science explorations, and of course - special animal friends! Supervised outings to zoo exhibits that complement the lesson may also be included, weather permitting. Each month holds a new lesson - attend one or enjoy them all!
Zoo Sprouts is designed to accommodate emerging independence - caregivers may participate with their child, or observe from the adult seating area. Caregivers and children comfortable with drop-off are permitted to do so, provided the child is fully potty-trained. This program is for children 3 and 4 years old with adult caregiver participation optional.
The second season will be "Animal Opposites." Animals are a great way to introduce the early childhood learning concept of opposites!

Get ready for some hands-on, brains-on fun! Kids will explore wildlife and nature topics through a variety of engaging activities, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) explorations, model-making, behind-the-scenes excursions, and encounters with several live animals each session. With this much excitement, don’t be surprised if your child is too busy having fun and making friends to notice how much they’ve learned! This program is for ages 8 - 11 years old.
