Employment opportunities are made available through a job posting process. All job postings may be found on the City Hall bulletin board located on the first floor of the building, within each of the Departments, and on the City of Lafayette website. Jobs are posted as they become available and applications are accepted only for open positions by using the Online Application for General Employment. Any and all offers of employment are subject to the completion of a successful drug screen and background check. The City of Lafayette participates in E-Verify, an electronic program offered through the US Department of Homeland Security, to verify the employment eligibility of employees after hire.
