[ARCHIVED] Shots Fired Investigation

At approximately 8:45am this morning the Lafayette Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 1600 block of Stanforth Avenue. Victims described the suspect as a black male, 5’ 9” and wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The suspect was seen leaving the area in a white van. We do not believe that this was a random act and possibly precipitated by a verbal argument. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200 or the WeTip hotline.
