On Saturday morning, November 9, 3rd and 4th Streets downtown, from Cincinnati Street to Alabama Street, will become two-way for the first time in roughly 70 years. This update is designed to make getting around easier and more enjoyable for everyone — drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and local businesses alike.
We would like to extend a
special thank you to all the residents and business owners who attended public meetings, shared their input, and offered suggestions. Your involvement has been essential in making this transition a reality.
As we all adjust, please keep an eye out for new street and traffic signs, stop signs, and markings. Take it slow and steady as we get used to the new flow and remember to look both ways for pedestrians who are also adapting to the updated routes.
Thank you for helping us make this historic transition a smooth one!
