The closure will allow for the construction of a new roundabout, improving traffic flow and connectivity in the area.Motorists who typically use Haggerty Lane to travel between State Road 38 and points east of Park East Blvd. should plan ahead and consider alternate routes, such as Veterans Memorial Parkway.
The Park East Boulevard extension is being completed by Atlas Excavating and will create a continuous connection from South Street to State Road 38. Additionally, St. Francis Boulevard will be extended to intersect with the new Park East Boulevard. The project will introduce three new roundabouts at:
Haggerty Lane & Park East Blvd
McCarty Lane & Park East Blvd
St. Francis Blvd & Park East Blvd
The project is expected to be completed early next year, enhancing traffic efficiency and accessibility in the area.
