The Columbian Park Zoo has announced a brand-new holiday event coming this season. “Reindeer Rendezvous with the Zoo” will take place Sunday, December 10 in two sessions: 12:00pm-3:00pm and 3:30pm-6:30pm at the Columbian Park carousel building and surrounding area.
Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and meet his reindeer (reindeer will be on-site from 1:00pm-5:00pm). The event will feature a holiday craft station, special animal artifact presentations, and photos with Santa before he heads back to the North Pole. The Columbian Park Polar Express train will be running, weather permitting. A Holiday Hayride will also be available (weather permitting), for scenic trips through Columbian Park. Hot chocolate, cookies, and other festive treats will be available for purchase.
Ticket sales are now open to the public for $6 each online- purchase tickets here. Children ages two years and under are free. Tickets are non-refundable. Attendance for the event is limited. If the attendance limit is not met prior to the event online, tickets will be available for purchase at the gate for $10.
Reindeer Rendezvous with the Zoo is a fundraiser for the Lafayette Parks Foundation. All proceeds benefit the Columbian Park Zoo and are used to fund capital improvements, various Zoo projects, and educational programs. For
