The mission of LPD's Community Outreach programs is to bring the police department and the community together to facilitate a better understanding of what the department does through the organizing of events.
The Lafayette Police Training Center is the host site for many of the trainings conducted for Lafayette PD and nation-wide agencies. The state of the art facility includes a CrossFit gym, physical tactics room, firearms simulator, and fully-equipped classrooms.
